After 5 weeks of fierce competition, we know that the best virtual managers in Europe are: Team FLYMANIA from Georgian National University SEU, Team ULDUM from Kozminski University and Team PEERS from Emlyon Business School (Saint – Etienne). Congratulations!
On April 5th, 11 teams from 9 different countries started their competition for the title of the best virtual managers in Europe. During competing, participants made decisions related to employment, offer and finances of their virtual travel agency at Revas Bussines Simulation Games.
What was the UBOSS competition about?
The competition was aimed at students of Business Administration and Management, Tourism and Catering, Business and Management as well as Supply chain & Purchasing Management.
Through the simulation, they could easily apply their theoretical knowledge in practice when making decisions in the game for 7 virtual months.
All participants agreed that participation in the competition and, most of all, using the simulation, allowed them to look at running a business differently. While managing their travel agencies, they could feel how it is to be a real entrepreneur and translate their knowledge into practical solutions.
What do students think about simulations?
„I think that theoretical learning and experience are nothing without practical experience, and business simulation is a great way to get it. Of course, I like it.” – Shota, Georgian National University SEU
“I really enjoy running a business in a practical way through the simulation, because it enabled me to try what it is actually like to run a business without facing any real risks.” – Katerina, Coventry University
„This simulation is very helpful for many reasons. It forces the player to think in a structure. Everything is connected to everything, You cannot spare here and get more there. It really opens someone’s eyes to see just how complex running a business is.” – Adam, University of Pannonia
“Thanks to REVAS for conducting this simulation game. Learning about this game and making strategic decisions already having some impact on our business knowledge. They way game tool was designed was great because we could see how good & bad other team’s decisions are. It helps us to know what kind of decisions we should avoid and which decisions we should make in the future. Of course we do like the game. The design was user friendly as well as having a simulation guide makes us independent.” – David, Emlyon Bussines School
