Accessibility statement for Revas Business Simulations

Our approach to accessibility

At Revas, we want our business simulations to be accessible to the widest possible range of users, including people with disabilities and users with specific accessibility needs.

We treat digital accessibility as an integral part of the ongoing development of our products. When designing and improving our simulations, we take into account the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA.

We continuously develop features that support content readability, navigation and decision-making within the simulation. We also review feedback from users and use it to plan further accessibility improvements.

Scope of This Statement

This statement applies to the participant interface of Revas online business simulations.

It covers the areas used by participants during gameplay, including:

analysing the situation of their virtual company;
entering business decisions;
reviewing results and financial data;
accessing contextual information and guidance;
using participant documentation;
accessing instructional video materials.

Accessibility Features

High-Contrast Mode

Users can enable a high-contrast mode that changes the colour scheme of the interface and improves the visibility of text, icons, buttons and other on-screen elements.

This feature may be particularly helpful for users with visual impairments and for those who prefer a more distinct presentation of content.

Text Size Adjustment

The simulation interface allows users to increase the text size at two different levels.

This enables users to adjust the presentation of content to their individual needs without changing the main settings of their device or browser.

Text-to-Speech Support

The simulations include a text-to-speech feature represented by a speaker icon.

Once activated, users can select a section of text displayed in the simulation and listen to it being read aloud. This feature supports users who find it easier to process information in audio form or who experience difficulties when reading longer passages of text.

Responsive Interface

The simulation interface adapts to different screen sizes.

The layout is designed to maintain readability on desktop computers, tablets and devices with smaller screens. On mobile devices, interface elements are reorganised so that the most important features remain accessible and easy to use.

Clear Presentation of Data

Business simulations contain a significant amount of operational and financial information. To make this information easier to analyse, we use solutions that limit the amount of data displayed at the same time.

In complex tables, some additional information may initially remain hidden and can be displayed by selecting a button marked with a “+” symbol. This allows users to focus first on the most important data and then expand the view when more detailed information is required.

Keyboard Navigation

The simulation interface supports keyboard navigation.

We are continuing to improve the order in which users move between fields, buttons and other interactive elements so that keyboard navigation becomes increasingly intuitive, logical and predictable.

Participant Documentation

Participant documentation is available as a web page and contains the information required to start and continue the simulation.

We are working to extend the documentation with accessibility features similar to those already available in the main simulation interface, including:

text size adjustment;
high-contrast mode;
text-to-speech support;
further improvements to keyboard navigation.

Video Materials

Instructional videos can be played directly within the simulation using the embedded YouTube player.

Users may also open a video in the YouTube interface and use the accessibility features available on that platform. The availability of captions and other accessibility options may depend on the individual video and its settings.

As part of the ongoing development of our instructional materials, we aim to pay particular attention to the accessibility of video content, including the availability of captions.
