Business Simulation Games from the teacher’s point of view – where to start?

Revas Business Simulation Games is an educational tool that helps you teach economics and business topics in a practical way. When it comes to students, simulations help develop critical thinking and decision-making skills. But what about benefits that teachers get out of implementing business simulations? Before you start your adventure with using simulations on your courses, you need to attend a training session to learn how to use the platform. Our team supports teachers from the very beginning, preparing them to start the course with simulations. After the training you become a certified Revas Business Simulation Games Trainer and receive a certificate.

How does the training look like?

In order to prepare for the training session, participants need to watch video instructions of 3 rounds of the game. After watching the videos, teachers take a short test which confirms they are ready to attend the training. Training session takes place online and lasts 3 hours.

During the session, participants have the opportunity to test the game (in most cases, they play a travel agency simulation) as a student/player. At the beginning, Revas Instructor shows how to create an account on the website and provides all teachers with login details they need to start the game. After joining the game, teachers make realistic business decisions for 3 rounds. In the simulation, participants decide on key matters like naming their company and writing a mission statement as well as make business decisions about hiring employees and selling services. For completing all tasks in these 3 rounds, they have 3 hours.

At the end of the training the Instructor reveals the ranking from the game. The ranking shows whose company turned out to be the best. Sounds interesting? This is how you can run your business courses with simulations!

Benefits for the teacher

After completing the training, the teacher receives access to an account on the Revas platform. With access to the website, they can order new games and create license keys for students. They can also oversee the whole competition in the game. Additionally, all instructors receive certificates confirming their participation in the training.
